Where to Find Great Chinese Food in Sausalito

If you’re looking for ethnic food in Sausalito, there is a surprising range of choices for a town of fewer than 10,000 residents. We’ve got Italian, French, and Mexican, of course; you can also find more foreign flavors like Indian, Japanese, and even Chinese food in Sausalito too.

The San Francisco Bay Area has an incredible Chinese heritage, dating back to the city’s earliest days. While the chapters in history haven’t all been fairy tales with “happily ever after” for the city’s Chinese immigrants, today you can find a strong presence of Chinese-American residents, and correspondingly shops, markets, and restaurants.

Chinese Food in Sausalito Hero

While you certainly won’t find as many options for Chinese food in Sausalito as you might in San Francisco – and especially SF’s Chinatown neighborhood – there is just one good option if the craving for dumplings, noodles, or a rice dish strikes during your Sausalito visit.

Below you’ll find a quick explanation of the one – yes, only one – Chinese restaurant in Sausalito. Use this guide to decide if you’re up for a visit, or consider other Asian restaurants in Sausalito.

Sausalito is the traditional lands of the Graton Rancheria, Miwok, and Me-Wuk (Coast Miwok) peoples. With respect, I make a formal land acknowledgment, extending my appreciation to the past and present stewards of these lands. To learn more, I invite you to explore Native Land.

Tommy’s Wok Chinese Cuisine

Chinese Food in Sausalito

Tommy’s Wok Chinese Cuisine is one of the more popular Chinese restaurants in Sausalito that offers a wide selection of Chinese dishes, all made with the freshest ingredients. The restaurant is known for its delicious dim sum, as well as its full bar with cocktails and Chinese beers. So be sure to come by for a casual meal or happy hour.

The menu features a variety of Chinese dishes, including dim sum, stir-fries, noodle dishes, and congee. And don’t forget to check out the restaurant’s namesake dish – the Tommy’s Wok. The dish is rich with shrimp, chicken, beef, and vegetables, and will leave you wanting more.

Tommy’s Wok Chinese Cuisine has a casual, comfortable atmosphere and is perfect for an afternoon meal or happy hour. While Tommy’s Wok isn’t on the water or near the ferry, it’s well worth the journey for this cozy spot for Chinese comfort food.

Other Asian Restaurants in Sausalito

Since there are only two options, I want to include a list of the other Asian restaurants in Sausalito too:

As you can see, there are other options if you are open to non-Chinese-but-still-Asian cuisine in Sausalito. There are great ethnic food options if you know where to find them! Have any questions about where to find Chinese food in Sausalito, or these two Chinese restaurants in Sausalito? Let me know in the comments.

Valerie fell in love with Sausalito after her very first visit; she and her husband then moved there in 2019. It's one of her favorite places in the Bay Area and she's excited to show you the best parts of her city.
